Old West replica Mares Leg rifle non firing gun. The Mare's Leg was made famous by Steve McQueen in the Old West TV series "Wanted Dead or Alive". This .44-40 caliber Loop Lever Winchester Model 1892 was a shortened customized rifle that could be worn in a large leg holster and used with one hand. made specifically for the show the Mare's Leg (aka Mares Leg, Mare's Laig, Mares Laig) was the name given to the rifle by Steve McQueen's character on the television series "Wanted: Dead or Alive" (1958 - 1961). McQueen's character was named Josh Randall and the gun has also been referred to as Winchester Randall, or a Randall Special. This replica cannot be made to fire ammunition. This is a must have for any old west collector and is a great addition to any military and old west collection of guns. Also a unique decorator piece! Excellent for western movie buffs and looks great in the office, den or library.
