Colt Cavalry Model 1873 Nickel Finish - 1191N
This Old West Calvary single action revolver is a non-firing replica. It has wood grips and a shiny nickel finish. Authentic in detail it looks just as the ones that were used on the deserts and plains of the American frontier by such old west historical figures as Wild Bill Hickock, Pat Garret and Bat Masterson to name just a few.
The Colt Single-Action Army Revolver was produced in several forms and many calibers from 1872 to 1940, with production totalling about 350,000 pieces. As its introduction coincided with the selltement of the "Wild" West, the names "Peacemaker" and "Frontier Six-Shooter" were popularized. Made for both military and civilian use, most were produced in 45 caliber although there were over 30 different variations of caliber/barrel length made but the overall appearance has remainted consistent since 1873. Used by legends like Buffalo Bill Cody, Wild Bill Hickock, Pat Garret and Bat Masterson it was also the weapon of choice for settlers in the West during the late 19th century. The Cavalry Model's relatively long barrel provided excellent accuracy in capable hands.
This reproduction gun is the ideal gift for anyone that likes to collect guns or old west mememorabilia. Excellent for display use on a stand or in a box. Use in the office, study, library or den as a decorative accent.
