The Colt Single-Action Army Revolver was produced in several forms and many calibers from 1872 to 1940, with production totalling about 350,000 pieces. As its introduction coincided with the settlement fo the "Wild" West, the names "Peacemaker" and "Frontier Six-Shooter" were popularized. Made for both military and civilian use, most were produced in 45 caliber although there were over 30 different variations of caliber/barrel length made but the overall appearance has remainted consistent since 1873.
This non-firing replica has a star on the wooden grip, commemorating the pistols made by Colt for the Texas Rangers. Excellent addition to any collection or for use in movie and stage productions and old west reinactments.
